The Stealth Aircraft Inspiration

The Stealth Aircraft Inspiration

The idea behind MAGAS™ came from fishing.

But one of its strongest design inspirations came from an unexpected place: military stealth aircraft.

Yet Sun Low had always been curious about how things work. Outside of fishing, he enjoyed learning from different fields—machines, tools, technology, nature, and everyday objects.

One day, while watching a military program, he heard an explanation about stealth aircraft.

The program described how stealth aircraft reduce exposure. They are designed to lower radar reflection, and some systems hide weapons internally until they are needed.

That idea created a new question.

If an aircraft can hide its weapons to reduce exposure, could a fishing lure hide its hook to reduce snagging?

In conventional lure fishing, exposed hooks are both the strength and the weakness of many lures.

The hook is needed to catch fish.

But the same hook can also catch weeds, branches, rocks, roots, fishing line, and underwater structure.

This is especially difficult around cover, where predatory fish often hide.

The stealth aircraft idea did not become MAGAS™ directly. It became a design direction.

The goal was not to remove the hook. The goal was to control the hook position.

MAGAS™ uses a magnetic anti-snag concept to help keep the hook closer to the lure body during casting and retrieving. When a fish strikes, the hook can release and work as intended.

That is the heart of the system.

It is not magic.

It is not a promise that no lure will ever snag.

It is a practical attempt to reduce a common problem by changing how the hook is positioned.

This is what makes MAGAS™ different from many conventional exposed-hook designs. It does not only ask, “What shape should the lure be?” It also asks, “Where should the hook be when the lure is moving through cover?”

The stealth aircraft inspiration became more than a creative idea. It helped shape the philosophy of MAGAS™:

Reduce unnecessary exposure.

Protect the hook when possible.

Let the hook work when needed.

This cross-field inspiration is part of the MAGAS™ story. Sometimes innovation does not come from looking only inside one industry. Sometimes it comes from connecting fishing, engineering, nature, and imagination.

For MAGAS™, one military concept became a fishing question.

And that fishing question became a patented Malaysian lure system.
